dangers at the playground

Just about everyday, I pick up this much glass that is hiding in the sand around my son’s favorite playground, um, rides – I mean around the swings and slide.

This is a little annoying, I must say.

Still, I let the little guy play on the outside of the jungle-gym frame without batting an eye.

It’s strange what we consider dangerous.

that’s better than some of the hypodermic needles that can sometimes be found in playgrounds in the downtown east side of vancouver.

There’s a reason that most newer playgrounds in Canada as well as in Korea no longer have sand but instead use that hard spongy foam brick stuff.
